Houston Diesels Beach Bash Brings Thousands to Crystal Beach

There are few sights more impressive on Bolivar Peninsula than seeing hundreds of diesel trucks lined up along the shoreline, and last year's Houston Diesels Beach Bash was no exception.

Truck enthusiasts from across Texas made their way to Crystal Beach for a weekend of fellowship, fun, and giving back. What started as a gathering of diesel truck owners has grown into one of the largest beach events on the Texas coast, drawing visitors who fill local vacation rentals, dine at local restaurants, shop at local businesses, and experience everything Bolivar Peninsula has to offer.

The event showcased the unique appeal of Crystal Beach—a place where visitors can drive on the beach, enjoy miles of open coastline, and create memories with family and friends. Throughout the weekend, attendees gathered to display their trucks, enjoy the beach lifestyle, and connect with fellow enthusiasts from across the state.

Beyond the impressive trucks, Houston Diesels is known for its commitment to community service and charitable giving. The organization has built a reputation for supporting veterans, scholarships, and various charitable causes while promoting faith, family, and friendship.

For local businesses, the Beach Bash represented more than just a weekend event. The influx of visitors provided an economic boost to the peninsula, benefiting restaurants, retail stores, vacation rental companies, fuel stations, and service providers. Events like these help showcase Bolivar Peninsula as a premier destination for tourism and recreation while supporting the local economy.

The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce was proud to welcome Houston Diesels and their guests to Crystal Beach and appreciates the positive impact they continue to have on our community.

As we look ahead to this year's Beach Bash, we invite residents and visitors alike to join us in extending a warm Texas coastal welcome. Whether you're a truck enthusiast or simply enjoy the energy and excitement these visitors bring to our community, Houston Diesels has become a valued part of the Bolivar Peninsula experience.

We look forward to seeing the trucks roll back onto Crystal Beach and welcoming another successful Houston Diesels Beach Bash to Bolivar Peninsula.

“I of the Beholder” was the theme of the 2011 Greenwich Village Halloween Parade, inspired by French surrealist painter Odilon Redon’s “Eye Balloon” —— hence the eyeball balloons. The 2012 parade was canceled in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

Last week the city was buzzing with the news that the Village Halloween Parade, a Downtown tradition for 39 years, is not definite for 2013. If the parade producers don’t raise $50,000 by Oct. 21, the annual event won’t take place this year.

n most companies, people who work together bond and become friends. In a small business like the bar I manage in Chelsea, those bonds, and the trust that comes with them, are particularly important. There are just 12 of us at our little bar, and we are like a family.
